Color Happened, Things Escalated

That’s a wrap on the first six drawings of 2025, and a few things have changed around here.

Color happened.
After one year of graphite, I’ve finally surrendered to the magic of colored pencils. Turns out, it’s a lot of fun but also a lot of patience. Layering colors has brought a new dimension to the work, and an ongoing war with my pencil sharpeners.

 Size upgrade.
I’ve also gone bigger. Each new drawing is now 40x50 cm, giving the compositions more breathing room and letting me obsess over even tinier details. It's still drawing, just with more square centimeters of chaos.

The Series
The new works are split into two thematic trios:

Scarabeus, Midas Touch, and Memento Mori dive into cycles of transformation, rebirth, and the whole “life-death-life again” situation.

The Fool’s Coronation, Echoes of Joy, and Two by Two (So We Don’t Get Lost) are more rooted in present-day weirdness, a world slightly tilted, where joy feels like a memory and everyone’s quietly starring in their own surreal circus.

Despite different moods, all six drawings live in the same world I’ve been building, a future rebuilt from fragments, where small tribes find new ways to exist, and the line between survival and magic is getting blurry.

Print Update
All drawings on my website store are available as archival pigment prints in open editions, meaning they’re not limited in number. But here’s the catch: these are the only open editions I’ll release. From here on out, future works will be limited edition only.

So if you’ve been eyeing one for your wall, now’s the moment.

I’ll do my best to keep the inspiration going and see where the rest of the year takes me.
Until then, thanks for following the journey.
