The Fool’s Coronation
“The Fool’s Coronation” - 40x50 cm, Colored pencils on 300gr Hahnemühle paper, 2025
The Fool’s Coronation - is a portrait of a world turned upside down, where illusion rules and chaos is cloaked in velvet and gold. The clown, crowned with a crumpled paper diadem of empty words, stares back with unsettling awareness, both jester and unwilling monarch of a collapsing spectacle. Draped in absurd regalia and surrounded by swirling smoke, he embodies the inversion of truth and value, a symbol of a society where meaning is distorted, and performance has replaced substance. In this circus of the present, it is the fool who wears the crown, and the audience that remains unaware.
