Florin Dragoi: FUTURE TRIBES - Personal Exhibition

FUTURE TRIBES – Rituals and Remnants from a Reconstructed Future was a solo exhibition by Florin Dragoi, presented from 6 to 22 February, 2026 at Centrul de Proiecte in Timisoara. The exhibition brought together drawings created over the past two years, forming a speculative visual universe set in a post-collapse future where humanity had reorganized into tribes.

Through masked characters, imagined rituals, and hybrid symbols, the works explored themes of identity, memory, and adaptation, proposing a dialogue between myth and technology, tradition and the future. The opening included a speech by Eugenia Dragoi-Banciu and a DJ set by Juni H toch R, establishing the immersive atmosphere of the project.

Over the course of 17 days, the exhibition expanded beyond the display of drawings to include guided tours and a series of artist talks with Andrei Sopon, Cristian Vaduva, and Alina Bohoru. These conversations reflected the narrative dimension of Dragoi’s practice and his background in animation, film, and character design, creating a platform for exchange between visual art, illustration, and moving image.

Organized in partnership with the Municipality of Timisoara through Centrul de Proiecte, the exhibition combined contemporary figurative drawing with educational and discursive formats, engaging both the local artistic community and a broader audience interested in speculative visual storytelling.
